Firaxis Games, the developer behind Marvel’s Midnight Suns, a strategic card game released in 2022, has recently announced that the game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the Switch version being cancelled.

The game was first launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on December 2, 2022. The release for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch was planned for a later date. However, as of May 11, 2023, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are now available.

The release of the game’s fourth and final DLC, Blood Storm, which features Storm as a playable hero, also coincides with the launch date.

Firaxis Games did not provide any explanation regarding the cancellation of the Switch version, merely stating that it is no longer planned. This announcement follows the departure of the game’s director and Firaxis’ XCOM games director, Jake Solomon, from the studio earlier this year.

Players who purchase the Legendary Edition of Midnight Suns for the PS4 and Xbox One, or the game’s Season Pass, will be given the new Blood Storm DLC as well as all previously released DLC, which includes Deadpool, Morbius, and Venom.
