Instagram’s messaging app, Threads, has received a significant update with some exciting new features. One of the notable additions is the introduction of a “follows” tab, although it’s not exactly the following-only feed that users have been requesting. As explained by Cameron Roth, the developer of Threads, the new tab is located on the app’s activity page and allows users to see a list of accounts that have recently followed them.

Previously, Threads displayed recent followers in its “all” tab on the activity page, so while this update is not a drastic change, it does make it more convenient for users to find their new followers. Additionally, the update includes two other filters, “quotes” and “reposts,” enabling users to filter recent activity based on who quoted or reposted their thread.

In addition to these changes, Threads now offers useful translations if you follow people from different countries. According to Roth, this feature will appear under a post, alongside the like, reply, repost, and share buttons. Among other minor improvements, users will now have the ability to receive notifications from accounts they don’t follow, enhancements in scrolling through the activity feed, and the option to follow people from a post’s replies section.

With these updates, Threads aims to enhance the user experience and cater to the diverse needs of its growing community of users.
