Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Will Be Released as a Standalone Game on PS5 in May
Later this month, PlayStation is set to release a standalone version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PlayStation 5. Previously, the only way to access the game was by purchasing the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. However, the standalone version will be available to anyone interested in playing the game.

For players who already own Marvel’s Spider-Man on PlayStation 4, its Digital Deluxe Edition, or Game of the Year Edition, there is an upgrade option. They can upgrade to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PS5 by paying $10. This remaster is known for its redesigned face of Peter Parker, and it also includes The City That Never Sleeps expansion featuring Black Cat, as well as some exclusive Spidey suits from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Those who own Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales can still acquire Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered by upgrading to the Ultimate Edition through the main menu of the PS5 version of the game. The standalone version of the remastered game will cost $49.99. Although PlayStation has announced that the standalone version and upgrade path will arrive later this month, they have not specified the exact date.
