Counter-Strike 2 is definitely on the horizon. There isn’t much time left for CS2 to be released for all users on Steam. There are plenty of clues to believe that Counter-Strike 2 will launch today, on September 27, 2023.

Last week, the official Counter-Strike X (formerly known as Twitter) account provided information about the upcoming release with a post asking everyone what they would do next Wednesday. This week, on September 26, the account changed its header image. The new image reads “The Dawn of a New Day,” signifying Valve’s way of bidding farewell to the CS:GO era. Just a few hours before the launch, the header image was updated to say “The Dawn of a New Day,” confirming in a way that CS2 is approaching.

Furthermore, Twitch made a post on X that further strengthened the belief that the release date of CS2 is nearing. Twitch has now changed the name of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive category to Counter-Strike, representing the new era brought by the new CS2 game. Currently, both the Counter-Strike 2 limited test beta and CS:GO can be streamed under this updated category for Counter-Strike.
