New images for the highly anticipated expansion Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree have surfaced online, just days after the release of the latest trailer.While the images don’t reveal much about the lore or story, they provide a glimpse into the landscape and environment players will explore in the Land of Shadow.

New Environments and Features

The expansion promises to introduce players to strange new lands where they will uncover dark secrets and encounter characters with ulterior motives who follow in Miquella’s footsteps. According to the expansion’s description, “In these strange new lands, players discover the dark secrets of the world as they meet others who follow in Miquella’s footsteps with ulterior motives.”

Additional Content

Shadow of the Erdtree will feature new weapons, weapon skills, equipment, and magic. Players will also face numerous new enemies as they navigate the new area of the Land of Shadow. One notable feature is the ability to “seamlessly travel back and forth” between the new region and the Lands Between.

Limited Expansion Plans

FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki has indicated that Shadow of the Erdtree is expected to be the only expansion for Elden Ring.

Release Information

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is set to launch on June 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
