VALORANT PATCH NOTES 9.01
Riot Games has unveiled VALORANT Patch Notes 9.01, introducing several updates and bug fixes across all platforms.
ALL PLATFORMS
Weapons Updates
- The animation for the Outlaw and its skinlines has been updated to clearly indicate when the weapon is ready to fire.
Bug Fixes
General
- Fixed a bug where Neon could equip faster out of her slide than intended by manually inputting an equip action.
Gameplay Systems
- Resolved an issue where AFK players could initiate a surrender vote.
- Fixed a brief stutter for Spectators when exiting Cypher’s Spycam.
- Corrected Tactical Callouts displaying in chat despite being turned off in Settings.
- Bullet tracers for guns picked up will now adhere to the Settings.
- Fixed visibility issues with Sage and Clove resurrections for Spectators and Observers.
- Addressed performance degradation caused by auto-respawn by spike explosion in Custom Game modes.
Maps: Abyss
- Cleaned up many of Cypher’s Spycam spots to prevent visual issues or unintended placements.
- Improved Wingman’s Spike plant pathing on A site.
- Cleaned up ability and player collision in various spots across the map.
- Fixed the Minimap orientation bug with certain settings active.
- Corrected a visual bug when falling off the map on A site.
- Fixed an issue where Viper’s Pit could spread farther than intended on A site.
KNOWN ISSUES
Social
- Party changes may occasionally display “<MISSING STRING ENTRY TABLE>” in your chat log.
PC: Esports Features
- The Pick ‘Ems Beta is launching for VALORANT Champions 2024!
- Starting July 26th, access the Champions Seoul Group Stage in-client and on the web.
- Predict advancing teams for points, earn rewards, and see how you stack up against other experts.
- Prepare for the Playoffs Stage next patch with a full double elimination bracket.
Bug Fixes
Gameplay Systems
- Fixed an issue with the Ping Wheel getting stuck when bound to the Z key.
Premier
- IBIT zone Premier players faced matchmaking issues during the first two weeks of Episode 9 Act 1 stage.
- Issue resolved for week 3 onwards.
- Teams playing a match in the IBIT zone by week 6 will automatically qualify for playoffs.
- Teams with matches in another EU zone must create a new roster in IBIT and play a match to qualify.
- Teams need 600 points before week 7 matches to qualify for playoffs.
Console: General Updates
- Non-ultimate Ability Button mappings can now be freely rebound.
- Added settings for inverting map cursor controls.
Agent Updates
Neon
- Slide re-equip speed changed from Fast to Instant.
Raze
- Reduced horizontal force for the second Blast Pack.
Iso
- Double Tap duration reduced from 20s to 12s.
- Signature kill reset removed.
Map Updates
- Lotus enters Competitive, Unrated, Swift Play, and Deathmatch queues.
Modes Updates
- Deathmatch is temporarily unavailable on Console due to an issue.
Social Updates
- Enhanced the notification indicator on the social card for party invites.
- Added voice indicators to the Party tab in the social panel.
- Added a button to leave the party in the My Party section of the social panel.
Bug Fixes
General
- Traditional Preset Weapon Switching issues fixed.
- Corrected various issues causing menu interaction problems and inability to leave the Range.
Agent
- Sova’s Recon Bolt and Fade’s Haunt now properly apply AimAssist to Revealed Targets.
- Fixed AimAssist issues for abilities across several agents (Fade, Chamber, Harbor, Viper, Yoru).
Gameplay Systems
- Resolved the Focus Mode issue when inspecting weapons.
Competitive Systems
- Fixed EOG screen accessibility in Match History.
Social
- Presence updates post-match now function correctly.
Known Issues
- Surrender and Remake menus are temporarily disabled due to control lock issues. Draw remains functional.
