Xbox has announced that it will bring four popular games to PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Nintendo Switch as part of its strategy to expand its player base and reach a broader audience. In an announcement made on the Official Xbox Podcast late at night, although no names were mentioned, it was emphasized that this move is part of Xbox’s strategy to reach a more open and extensive player base.

Phil Spencer, Microsoft Gaming CEO, stated that Xbox’s four popular games would be brought to “other consoles,” indicating that these games are directed towards PS5 and Switch. Among the unnamed games, titles like Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Halo, and Gears of War are speculated to be included.

Spencer expressed that this move aims for Xbox to establish a presence on other consoles after the success on PC and its own platform. He mentioned that this strategy would provide an opportunity to create business value on other platforms after realizing the full potential of the games, highlighting Xbox’s desire to bring its own games to a wider audience.

However, Spencer clarified that not every Xbox game would be ported to other platforms, and exclusive games would continue. These statements indicate Xbox’s goal to create a more open ecosystem and its strategy to reach a broader audience with its games.

Additionally, according to statements by Xbox President Sarah Bond, Microsoft does not intend to exit the console hardware business. Bond mentioned that exciting announcements regarding next-gen console hardware would be shared during the holiday season. In this context, significant developments in Xbox hardware are expected to be announced.

These changes in Microsoft’s Xbox strategy are creating excitement in the gaming world, and it appears that players will have the opportunity to play their favorite games on different platforms, further expanding their gaming options.
