Tim Cook Sells $33 Million Worth of Apple Shares

After assuming the CEO position at Apple following Steve Jobs’ passing, Tim Cook continues to reap the rewards of his successful performance. Last year, Cook received a substantial bonus, and now, he has made significant earnings through share sales.

Last year, Tim Cook received a bonus of $63.2 million for his outstanding performance. This bonus, which included $47 million in stock bonuses and $10.7 million in performance-based bonuses, added to his $3 million salary. With a substantial amount of Apple shares acquired as a result, Cook has decided to sell a portion of them.

According to MacRumors, Tim Cook sold 196,410 shares, estimated to be worth $33.2 million. After taxes, Cook pocketed $16.4 million from this transaction. However, it’s noted that Cook still owns approximately 3.3 million shares. The report suggests that certain conditions triggered the automatic sale, although the specifics of these conditions remain undisclosed.

As one of Apple’s most successful executives, Tim Cook is likely to receive another substantial bonus in 2024 if certain conditions are met.
