Although the game has not been fully released yet, it is anticipated that Starfield will have strong mod support. Finally, a mod called DLSS 3 Frame Generation, which significantly improves performance when playing the game on Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series graphics cards, has been released.

DLSS 3 comes to Starfield The mod, promised by PureDark before the game’s release, is currently only available to Patreon subscribers and comes with some minor issues that may cause crashes on certain system configurations. However, as highlighted in the videos below, it generally seems to work quite well. In addition, the DLSS 3 mod provides a significant performance boost.

While DLSS 3 is available on Nvidia’s RTX 40 series graphics cards, those without it may still access the joys of space in Starfield in the future with another mod that can achieve high frame rates on all graphics cards. Of course, we are talking about AMD’s upcoming FSR 3.0. AMD’s FSR 3 can work with both Nvidia and AMD cards.

For now, Starfield only features AMD’s FSR 2 technology, but it has not been confirmed whether it will be officially included in the game when FSR 3.0 is released. It is worth noting that AMD and Bethesda have a partnership for Starfield. Additionally, PureDark confirmed that they will implement it into the game if AMD releases the FSR 3.0 SDK.
