Immortals of Aveum, an FPS game that aimed to offer a different perspective on the genre under Electronic Arts Originals and Ascendant Studios, has failed to meet expectations. Shortly thereafter, news of downsizing within the company emerged.

Did Immortals of Aveum Succeed? Immortals of Aveum, which was released in late August with a one-month delay, failed to meet expectations. The game managed to reach only 751 players on the Steam platform at its peak, and the developer of the game is now facing difficulties.

According to reports, Ascendant Studios has decided to cut its workforce by 45%, which is roughly equivalent to 40 people. Those who are laid off will receive compensation and assistance in finding new employment.

Immortals of Aveum was the company’s first game, and its failure to achieve the expected success is not good news for the company. Additionally, its release coincided with the launch of titles like Baldur’s Gate III, Armored Core VI, and Starfield, which added to the disadvantage.
