Bethesda Game Studios has announced the highly anticipated release date for Starfield, an action role-playing game set in space. The extensive gameplay footage of Starfield has left fans in awe. Last year, during Microsoft’s Xbox & Bethesda showcase, we caught a glimpse of a 15-minute gameplay demo for Starfield. Today, we are getting a truly in-depth look at Bethesda’s first new IP in 25 years. Described by game director Todd Howard as “Skyrim in space,” Starfield is already a strong contender for Game of the Year.

The game director revealed that Starfield will run at 30 frames per second on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. In an interview with IGN, Todd Howard mentioned that the game runs at 4K resolution on the Series X and 1440p resolution on the Series S, with the frame rate locked at 30 fps. The game will also be released on PC, and it is likely that the frame rate cap will be lifted.

Bethesda has decided to showcase more details about Starfield, including cities and settlements, skill trees, upgrades, and space combat. They have released a deep 45-minute gameplay video, which you can watch below.
