Songs of Conquest Sells 500,000 Copies, Reveals Ambitious New Roadmap

Songs of Conquest has achieved immediate success following its departure from early access on May 20. Developer Lavapotion announced that the game has sold 500,000 copies in its first week. Alongside this milestone, the studio unveiled an extensive new roadmap for future content.

“Thank you to everyone who played our game and supported us through Early Access all the way into 1.0,” Lavapotion said. “Today we are announcing a huge milestone, as well as a VERY bright future for the game!”

New Roadmap Highlights

Lavapotion’s roadmap commits to delivering new content through 2025, featuring:

  • Four new Wielders
  • Four new campaigns for existing factions as paid DLC
  • Two new factions: Vonir (trolls) and Roots (plants), introduced through a new large campaign called a “Song”

The new campaign expansion, set in the Bleak East, will explore the lives of hardy settlers on the coast and their interactions with other factions.

“The Bleak East lies to the North-East of Patrium, home to descendants from both Arleon and Barya,” the studio explained. “We can barely wait to share their Song with you.”

Console Release and Free Updates

Additionally, Lavapotion confirmed that Songs of Conquest will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in Fall 2025. Free updates will also enhance the game, adding new units, artifacts, and improving multiplayer modes, including both PvP and Co-Op.
