Netflix is set to expand its library by adding 40 new games this year, solidifying its position as one of the biggest mobile game subscription services alongside Apple Arcade. Subscribers will have access to approximately 100 games for free in 2022.

Netflix introduced the idea of offering free mobile games to its subscribers in 2021 and has since been developing its own games while adding popular titles to its library. The recent release of Valiant Hearts: Coming Home and Highwater brings the total number of games in the Netflix library to 55. This year, subscribers will have access to 40 new games, including Terra Nil, Paper Trail, and Ubisoft’s Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace, bringing the total to 95 games. The company has also announced plans to release new games every month.

Netflix is currently developing 70 games, 16 of which are being developed in-house. With 40 games set to be released this year, the company plans to launch an additional 30 games in the coming years. The Monument Valley series is set to be released on Netflix in 2024, with the UsTwo team working on a sequel. With around 125 games, Netflix is set to become one of the most important mobile game subscription services in the industry.
