The new installment of the popular NBA 2K series, NBA 2K24, has been officially announced. Published by 2K and developed by Visual Concepts, NBA 2K24 is set to release on September 8th for all platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Switch, PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The late Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who has appeared on the cover of NBA 2K three times, returns for another season. This year’s game will feature Kobe Bryant on the cover, honoring his life tragically lost in a helicopter accident at the age of 41.

Perhaps the most exciting early detail about NBA 2K24 is the publisher’s Mamba Moments mode. Serving as a standalone version of last year’s Michael Jordan mode, Mamba Moments with Kobe Bryant allows players to relive some of his greatest moments and even recreate a game between Jordan and Bryant from the Jordan mode, but this time from Kobe’s perspective.

As usual, the game will have several different versions catering to different fan types. There will be three editions of the game: Kobe Bryant Edition (standard version), Black Mamba Edition, and 25th Anniversary Edition.

NBA 2K24 Pricing

The Kobe Bryant Edition will be priced at $70 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and $60 for Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Black Mamba Edition, which includes 100K virtual currency and MyTEAM Content, will be priced at $99.99. The 25th Anniversary Edition, considered the most expensive version, will include a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription, in-game collectibles, and enhancements. It will be available for a limited time until September 10, 2023, at a price of $149.99.
