Call of Duty: Vanguard

Call of Duty: Vanguard sales have surpassed 30 million! Fans are astonished.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has successfully sold over 30 million copies worldwide. At least, that’s according to data shared by a strategic consultant working with Roughmint Consulting, who announced on their LinkedIn profile, “30 million copies sold FPS game Call of Duty: Vanguard, with methods designed to attract new players.” Comments from users and Call of Duty enthusiasts on this sales figure were quick to follow.

“A Reddit user noted, ‘People forget that commenters online mostly echo themselves,'” expressing surprise at the game’s strong sales despite disappointing criticisms. While some detailed their disappointments with section design and progression systems, others stated, “There’s no such thing as a bad year for CoD.” Another user, Smash-Bros-Melee, added, “It’s truly absurd. There’s much debate about games online, but it’s evident that only a small percentage of the actual audience buying games follows industry news. Many PS5 and Xbox Series consoles are solely used for Warzone, Fortnite, and streaming apps.”

“Many people simply buy the new CoD game each year, their favorite sports games (EAFC/Madden/2K), GTA when a new one releases, and perhaps Mario Kart and Smash Bros to play with friends.”

Of course, without official confirmation from Activision or parent company Microsoft, this figure could be inflated or entirely inaccurate. Nevertheless, many shooter game fans are beginning to contemplate Vanguard’s success and the impact of such sales on the brand, particularly given Activision’s acknowledgment of the game’s performance issues. So what’s next for Call of Duty? According to a new report, we’ll learn about the release dates for Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and the new Call of Duty at the Xbox Summer Showcase on June 9, 2024.
