Valve’s upcoming handheld console, the Steam Deck, which is based on RDNA2 architecture, continues to expand its library of compatible games. Through its exclusive certification program, Valve marks the games that provide the best user experience on the console. The program tests all games on the console for compatibility and performance, and games that pass the test without any issues are certified as “Deck Optimized”. Recently, one of last year’s successful games, A Plague Tale: Requiem, has been added to the certified games list.

Valve’s decision puts A Plague Tale: Requiem among the likes of Hogwart’s Legacy, Elden Ring, Apex Legends, and Resident Evil: Village, all of which have also been certified. Despite being limited to 30fps even on next-gen consoles, Requiem can provide a stable 30fps experience on Steam Deck with resolution scaling options at the lowest settings of 720p.
